Urban communities fulfill their water needs with bottled drinking water or AMDK.
Recently, the public was shocked by the findings of ethylene glycol and diethylene
glycol as raw materials for polyethylene terephthalate or PET plastic used as bottled
water containers.
Chemical Toxicologist Budiawan explained that Ethylene Glycol and Diethylene Glycol
or EG and DEG are toxic substances; he saw poor governance and unclear regulations
in food packaging safety.
The public does not need to worry about the EG and DEG content that is the raw
material for bottled drinking water as long as it is more careful and wise to use these
beverage bottles and place them at room temperature so that the migration process
does not occur. The drinking water consumed is free from contamination.
