Ambarawa Museum is located in Ambarawa District, Semarang, Central Java, 41
kilometers from the center of Semarang City. Before becoming a museum, this place
was a train station known as Wilem to I Station, which functioned since May 21, 1887,
to support the smooth mobility of the military in the Semarang area to Fort Wilem to I in
the Ambarawa area and also a means of transporting export commodities in Central
Java. Here, you can feel the thrill of the engine rumbling in the legendary wooden
carriages of the past. You can enjoy steam trains that are more than 100 years old.
