Indonesia recorded a reading score of 371, which pushed Indonesia from 64th to 74th.
This ranking was released by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and
Development (OECD) in the Program for International Student Assessment report on
the quality of education in Indonesia in 2018. So far, the government has organized an
independent learning program by sending 15 million copies of 716 book titles. And
assistance for more than 20 thousand early childhood education, preschool, and
elementary schools in 2022. The distribution of this book is prioritized for schools in the
outermost disadvantaged and foremost areas or 3T.
