Primary Health Services (PKP) are the first services accessed at first contact by the
community and essential services needed by the community. This program is aimed at
all residents in large cities and remote areas of the country.

Puskesmas is included in the primary health targets and is the health facility closest to
the community. Remote communities can be reached by increasing the number of
Posyandu and Puskesmas to bring closer access to essential health services. The
government targets increasing the number of community health centers to 10,400 units.
