There was noisy discussion on the timeline, discussing new figures who had never
previously appeared on the Indonesian political scene. Indonesian society introduced
political dynasties since the New Order era. Several decades have passed, and the
confusion over the nomination of political party leaders will still be present in the 2024
election. The Association for Elections and Democracy, or Tulisdem, filters the system
for submitting legislative candidates from political parties. Each party has its
assessment of its cadres competing in the democratic party. Can the nomination of a
relative of a high-ranking political party official win as many seats as possible in
parliament? Whatever the term political dynasty, kinship politics, or the coming of big
names at the top of political parties, people are increasingly intelligent in assessing and
choosing which candidates for people’s representatives are worthy of defending their
aspirations.
