Jurnal Glenys
Poverty is still the government’s homework. The government has attempted many
formulations, such as direct cash assistance, relocation of residents to runaways, and
the arrangement of slum villages.
As of March 2021, BPS data states that the poverty rate is 10.14%, equivalent to 27.54
million people. The portrait of poverty can be found around us in various regions of
Indonesia. Including in Jakarta. The city with the highest Human Development Index
(HDI) in Indonesia. Glenys’ journal, this time, will portray the Gunadi family, a family in
Jakarta who live below the standard of living. They continue to struggle to get out of
poverty.
