Since the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war, some countries that are members of the
Trade Alliance of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) have echoed
the reduction of the United States dollar (USD) for trade and investment or de-
dollarization. Then, the Indonesian government first de-dollarized with Malaysia,
Thailand, China, Japan, and South Korea by using local current settlement (LCS) to
increase bilateral transactions between the two countries. In addition, the world’s
economic power has begun to shift, such as the American economy, which started to
fade and began to be followed by the skyrocketing growth of the Chinese economy.
Although not too intensively establishing bilateral relations to de-dollarize because it will
indirectly have an impact.
