The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) works with small and medium
enterprise workshops for fuel-to-electric motor conversion. This cooperation with
certified seminars is expected to accelerate the achievement of electric motor
conversion by 2030. Electric vehicles are claimed to be more efficient than fossil fuels.
For 60 KM in one charge, it is worth IDR 2,450. At the same time, the average mileage
of Jakarta residents is 40 kilometers per day. This means that the fuel cost per day is
less than IDR 2,000. The conversion of fossil fuel motors to electricity is expected to
accelerate the clean energy transition program while reducing imports of fuel subsidies.
