From January to mid-November 2022, 110 landslides occurred in some areas, such as
Banyumanik, Tembalang, West Semarang, Ngaliyan, Gajahmungkur, Candsari, and
Gunungpati. One of the districts that experienced the worst landslide impact was
Sukorejo Sadeng Subdistrict, which severed the Bendosari Bridge. In this regard, the
Semarang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is pushing for the
issuance of a regulation on settlement development. Some landslides in Semarang City
were caused by the movement of faults that made the surrounding rocks fragile.
